1-Monopalmitin (CAS 542-44-9 ), also known as 1-Palmitoylglycerol, is a glycerol monoester of palmitic acid used commercially as an emulsifier and humectant across food, pharmaceutical, and personal care manufacturing.

It supports stable oil-in-water and water-in-oil systems while contributing moisturizing performance to finished formulations. In personal care, it functions as a skin-conditioning emulsifier in creams, lotions, and balms.
