In coatings and adhesives, Disparlon 805 — a recognized derivative form — is used as an anti-settling and sag-resistance agent in solvent-borne systems. Plastics compounders incorporate it as a processing aid and softener in PVC and rubber formulations to improve flow and surface finish.

Hydrogenated castor oil is supplied as white to off-white flakes, pastilles, or powder. Standard commercial grades include cosmetic-grade and technical-grade, with cosmetic-grade material typically meeting USP or food-contact specifications.
