Rutin

Rutin (CAS 153-18-4 ), also known commercially as Venoruton, Tanrutin, and Sophorin, is a bioflavonoid glycoside sourced primarily from buckwheat and sophora japonica buds. In industry, it functions as an antioxidant and stabilizing agent across food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic formulations.

In pharmaceutical manufacturing, it is a primary active ingredient in venous insufficiency treatments, capillary-strengthening tablets, and circulatory support supplements. Food and nutraceutical producers incorporate it into functional beverages and dietary capsules.
