Sunset Yellow FCF (CAS 2783-94-0 ), also known as FD&C Yellow 6, Orange Yellow S, and E110 , is a synthetic azo dye that imparts a characteristic orange-yellow hue to food, beverage, and industrial products.

C.I. Food Yellow 3 is the colorimetric designation used in technical and regulatory documentation. It is approved across major regulatory frameworks and widely specified by formulators requiring consistent, heat-stable orange coloration.

In food and beverage manufacturing, E110 is used to color soft drinks, confectionery, snack coatings, and processed foods where a bright orange-yellow appearance is required for consumer appeal.
