Melissic acid

Melissic acid (CAS 506-50-3 ), also known as triacontanoic acid and myricic acid, is a long-chain saturated fatty acid naturally occurring in beeswax and plant waxes.

It functions as a structuring agent, emulsifier, and lubricant component across industrial and specialty formulation markets. In personal care and cosmetics, it contributes to the solid structure of wax-based formulations.
