Styrene-acrylonitrile resin (CAS 9003-54-7 ), commonly known as SAN or AS resin, is a rigid thermoplastic copolymer used across packaging, automotive, and electronics manufacturing. It delivers higher chemical resistance and clarity than standard polystyrene.

This material is a preferred base where transparency and structural integrity are both required. In consumer packaging and housewares, SAN is injection-molded into transparent containers, bottles, and kitchenware that must withstand contact with oils.
