Overview
Barium chloride dihydrate (CAS 10326-27-9 ), also known as Baryta Muriatica or BaCl2·2H2O, is an inorganic barium salt supplied in hydrated crystalline form. It functions as a chemical intermediate, precipitating agent, and process additive across water treatment, metallurgical, and textile industries.
In water treatment, it removes sulfate ions through precipitation, helping industrial facilities manage effluent composition and meet discharge standards. Textile and leather processors use it in dyeing and finishing baths.
In these applications, it acts as a mordant and fixative to improve color retention on fiber substrates. In metallurgy and metal surface treatment, it serves in heat treatment salt baths for steel hardening processes.
This material provides controlled thermal environments for case hardening. Pulp and paper operations apply it as a process chemical for sulfate removal and as a catalyst precursor in select chemical synthesis workflows.
Barium chloride dihydrate is available as white crystalline granules or powder. Standard commercial grades include technical grade and reagent or laboratory grade, with purity levels typically ranging from 98% to 99%+.
Packaging is offered in bags and drums suited to bulk industrial procurement requirements. Our material meets rigorous industrial specifications to ensure consistent performance in high-demand manufacturing environments.
