Overview
Dioctyl phthalate (CAS 117-81-7 ), commercially abbreviated as DEHP, is a high-molecular-weight phthalate ester used primarily as a plasticizer to increase flexibility and processability in PVC and other polymer systems.
It remains one of the most established general-purpose plasticizers in industrial formulation, valued for its broad compatibility with vinyl resins and low volatility at processing temperatures.
