Overview
1,3-Butyleneglycol dimethacrylate (CAS 1189-08-8 ), also referenced in procurement as BGDMA, is a bifunctional methacrylate monomer used as a crosslinker and reactive diluent in polymer systems.
It introduces covalent network formation during curing, improving hardness, chemical resistance, and dimensional stability in finished materials. In UV- and peroxide-cured coatings, it acts as a crosslinking comonomer.
